The included spa floor is simply placed on top of any existing shower floor for a beautiful wall-to-wall finish. Designed to drain your shower water and the Serene Steam's drainage system during use.
WHAT'S REQUIRED?
As with any steam system, your shower is required to be fully enclosed and suitable for steam use. Serene Steam does not require any specific method for enclosing your shower other than a standard floor-to-ceiling shower door, or any other method which may be available so that heat and steam cannot escape.

Place your new spa floor directly on top of any existing shower floor. Simply provide us with your floor dimensions and choice of available colors, and it will be custom-cut, and shipped to you ready to install together with your Serene Steam system.
Why is the included spa floor required?
To make the RetroFit version available to use without requiring a remodel or new construction (as with our other models), we have designed a smart method of channeling the heated run-off which occurs during steam use to flow unnoticed underneath the spa floor. With the spa floor in place, the heated run-off will naturally drain via your existing shower floor drain and prevent any contact during use.
Our custom spa floor is mandatory to use with the RetroFit model.

The floor installs in minutes with interlocking tiles for a beautiful and stylish appearance.
Tee into an existing hot water line which will connect to your Serene Steam system. This can be achieved by several methods, but we have displayed a sample below as one example. The typical method may be locating the hot water line directly off your shower mixing valve, but other possibilities may be suitable based on your unique shower location and plumbing etc. Make sure that this is done by a qualified plumber or contractor. A detailed installation manual is included.
