THE FOLLOWING IS REQUIRED
TO USE A SERENE STEAM SPA

THE BASIC FUNDAMENTALS

Shower enclosure

Your shower enclosure must be sealed and adapted correctly for steam use. Your local plumber/contractor should be able to provide the correct, basic steps.

Water temperature

Set your water heater to at least 135-140 for best results. Serene Steam use is IAPMO Certified & meets IGC-154-2019 standard.

Water pressure

Standard household water pressure should be at least 65 PSI for best results. Please check that your water regulator is up to code. (65 PSI is considered standard).

YOUR SHOWER ENCLOSURE SIZE

1

SHOWER CEILING HEIGHT

We recommend your ceiling height to be approximately 7.5 feet in height. 8 feet should still be acceptable. However, as with any heat, it will rise, and therefore the lower the ceiling, the better.

2

SHOWER FLOOR SIZE

We recommend your shower floor to be approximately 5 x 3 feet in length and width. 5 x 4 feet should still be acceptable. However, the smaller the enclosure, the performance will be better for retaining the heat.

3

SYSTEM PLACEMENT

This is very important. Please ensure that your shower enclosure can accommodate Serene Steam in the horizontal center of your shower enclosure, and typically below your mixing valve as illustrated here, and installed so that the Serene Steam system will ultimately be facing the user during use while they are sitting on the bench, as shown in this image below. Shower benches can be either built-in, or portable. Serene Steam can not be installed in corners.
