THE FOLLOWING
IS REQUIRED
TO INSTALL SERENE STEAM

Other than the general requirements for a household steam shower, such as a fully enclosed shower stall etc. there are 3 important factors which should be evaluated

before installing a Serene Steam spa system, the importance of these following factors are to maximize the heat, steam and ultimate performance that would be projected into your shower enclosure during use.

1

SHOWER CEILING HEIGHT

We recommend your ceiling height to be approximately 7.5 feet in height. 8 feet should still be acceptable. However, as with any heat, it will rise, and therefore the lower the ceiling, the better.

2

SHOWER FLOOR SIZE

We recommend your shower floor to be approximately 5 x 3 feet in length and width. 5 x 4 feet should still be acceptable. However, the smaller the enclosure, the performance will be better for retaining the heat.

3

SYSTEM PLACEMENT

This is very important. Please ensure that your shower enclosure can accommodate Serene Steam in the horizontal center of your shower enclosure, and typically below your mixing valve as illustrated here, and installed so that the Serene Steam system will ultimately be facing the user during use while they are sitting on the bench, as shown in this image below. Shower benches can be either built-in, or portable. Serene Steam can not be installed in corners.

Are there any exceptions if I have an extra large shower
and still want to use Serene Steam?

In short, the answer is YES. If your shower enclosure is extra large and well outside the parameters listed above, it is still possible to install Serene Steam with the use of 2 machines in your custom enclosure. However, moving forward with your custom-sized shower would also require a free consultation with a Serene Steam specialist to understand your extra large parameters etc. and guide you with the best technical options and possibilities.

UNDERSTANDING
SERENE STEAM
AND HOW IT WORKS

Serene steam uses a sequence of patented techniques to produce a heated & steam-filled environment in your shower enclosure.

It begins with your water heater (regular or tankless) which supplies the only energy required to complete the multiple processes. Serene Steam utilizes the maximum amount of heat that is available from your existing water heater and brings it directly into your shower enclosure during spa use which allows the heat and steam to flow. The heat and steam which is delivered into your shower enclosure progresses continuously during use. It may feel similar to a “Fan type of effect” blowing heat and steam simultaneously. During spa use there is no flowing water from your shower head inside your shower enclosure, only the heat and steam which is projected directly from your water heater.
